Name of ship

[edit]

@Muwatallis II: Before changing the name of the article, we need a reliable secondary source that states the ship's name was changed. Changing the name of the article needs more than a blurb on the official website. Furthermore it is the only ship of the name, therefore no need for the ship pennant number in the title. Also naval ships of countries without prefixes need the name of the country in the title. Llammakey (talk) 18:43, 26 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

It's funny how difficult it is to find out the actual name of a non-commercial vessel which doesn't show up in any databases. Some photographs show the name "Almirante Viel" across the stern. Anyway, Almirante Óscar Viel is mentioned by name at least here. Tupsumato (talk) 09:49, 28 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah he editwarred me into giving up. I really don't care anymore. Llammakey (talk) 18:05, 28 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Their own naval website listed it as simply Almirante Óscar Viel, though it appears to now be a lightship. Chaosdruid (talk) 00:52, 21 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
