Possibly merge with "biological pesticide". Chitosan is fairly unproven and not a typical biopesticide - the page subtely appears to advertise commercial products. Roy Bateman (talk) 08:14, 14 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

For those interested Chitosan is a proven Biopesticide technology that has been tested for over twenty years by DuPont/ConAgra Venture (DCV) and AgriHouse. These patent biopesticide technologies elicit a natural defense response in plants. The term "faily unproven" and "not typical biopesiticide" is simply not correct by the above author. The EPA granted AgriHouse a Biopesticide Label in September 2008 and an amended label in 2009. --71.208.73.21 (talk) 17:00, 18 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I merged the text from Biological pesticide into this article, since it seems clear they are referring to the same thing. Biopesticide is the appropriate title as clearly indicated by these usage counts:

Does this need to be it's own article?

There is no way that this deserves to be it's own article. This should definitely be called biological pesticides. It's literally just a contraction..

A new formulation in sciense - Pestiphages

Pestiphages (Latin: pestis «pest» + greek. φαγεῖν «to eat»)[1] — introduced organisms, that destroy pest organisms in agroecosystems. Pestiphages are an important biological component of agrobiodiversity and have a substantial role in ecologization of agriculture. Pest organisms of agrocenosis and pestiphages are in detrimental type of biological interaction.
