Metanoia is a 2021 Mexican English-language sci-fi/LGBTQ short film. It was directed by Moran Avni, produced by Ariel Lavi and written by David Alejandro Gigena Kazimierczak. The short stars Jessica Decote, Laura Di Luca, and Carlos Hendrick.The film was distributed to streaming platforms in China such as IQiyi and Tencent Video.
Synopsis
[edit]The film depicts that marriage between Ana and Sarah falling apart while an unknown threat grows on Earth. When a mysterious package arrives at their doorstep, containing a device of extraterrestrial nature, it creates further problems. When Ana accidentally inhales gas from the device, it transforms her, resulting in her running away. Sarah learns to accept Ana for who she is, even after what she has become from opening the package. Ana and Sarah decide to escape the threat on Earth and work towards growing their relationship.
