Full explanation of why this Promotional photo file should be used on the page Revolution 618. Use will not affect the value of the original work that has been published elsewhere on the Internet or limit the copyright holder's rights or ability to distribute the original. In particular, this could not be used to make illegal copies of the programme in question. Copyright presumably belongs to Revolution evangelistic association, a non-profit 501C religious organization. As a promotional (nonfree) image, the image is not replaceable by free content; the copyright holders have not released similar images into the public domain or allowed free use of existing copyright images, and any other screenshot would be similarly copyrighted. While a free image of the talkshow hosts/actors could be found, any such version is not true to the original characters as the subject of this article and would be inadequate for identification or commentary. No copyright for this image is available as it is unique in nature and placed on the official Facebook page as free use image found via this url: https://m.facebook.com/Revolution618/photos/?ref=page_internal&mt_nav=1 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Techform (talk • contribs) 16:40, 16 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
- I'm not sure how the individual free images individually of the hosts of a TV/radio talk show would be
not true the original characters as the subject of this article and would be inadequate for identification or commentary
. First of all there is no sourced critical commentary in the program's article about their "original characters" so the context required by WP:NFCC#8 is lacking. They are only mentioned by name as far as I can see, so if there is something unique or original about these characters which necessitates that the reader see this particular non-free image, please add it with sources to the article. Otherwise, it's just three individuals sitting at table which certainly does not need to be seen to be understood. - If the image is being used for identification purposes, then there needs to be a better reason given for why a non-free image is needed. Are they appearing in costume, etc. or was their appearance something that received coverage in reliable sources and something for which they were mainly known for; otherwise, once again, there's no reason why freely licensed photos of each person could not be used instead. There are lots of people who host TV and radio programs and some of these even have articles written about them on Wikipedia. If these individuals are still living, then I'm not sure simply being (or have been) the host of something is a sufficient justification for non-free use. -- Marchjuly (talk) 22:19, 16 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
