Summary

Description
English: Diversion dam on the Cedar River in Spalding, Nebraska; seen from the southwest (downstream). The dam directs a portion of the river's flow into a canal that leads to a hydroelectric generator; a tailrace canal returns the water to the Cedar. The dam was constructed in 1923; it is part of the Spalding Power Plant and Dam complex, which is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
