English: The Rossville African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church was founded in 1850 to serve Sandy Ground, a community of free African Americans who mostly made their livings by harvesting shellfish. This building was built in 1897 on Bloomingdale Road south of Woodrow Road. A designated New York City landmark.
