Tentative reconstruction of thylacocephalan Ostenocaris ribeti (Laville et al. 2023). After T. Laville, M.B. Forel & S.Charbonnier, Re-appraisal of thylacocephalans (Euarthropoda, Thylacocephala) from the Jurassic La Voulte-sur-Rhône Lagerstätte, in European Journal of Taxonomy, vol. 898, 2023, pp. 1-61. This reconstruction is based on personal line drawing of Figs. 11g & 12c and on the species description (pp. 25-28). The posterior appendages (pleiopods?) related to the seven pleural segments on the rear part of the carapace, are actually not preserved in the fossil specimens and are hypothetical, by comparison to O. cypriformis (Arduini et al. 1980); |
