Neopteroplax conemaughensis Romer, 1963 - fossil amphibian skull from the Pennsylvanian of Ohio, USA. (public display, Cleveland Museum of Natural History, Cleveland, Ohio, USA)

This is a well-preserved fossil amphibian skull from Pennsylvanian-aged lacustrine shales in eastern Ohio.

Classification: Animalia, Chordata, Vertebrata, Tetrapoda, Amphibia, Embolomeri, Eogyrinidae

Stratigraphy: Birmingham Shale, several meters below the Ames Limestone, Conemaugh Group, Upper Pennsylvanian

Locality: railroad cut near the town of Bloomingdale, Jefferson County, far-eastern Ohio, USA
