Summary

Description
English: "Little Joe" Tower at the Corning Museum of Glass in Corning New York, which was constructed in 1912 for the purpose of thermometer tubing production . By using a process called "vertical draw," hot glass was pulled up the 196 feet by cable, creating a continuous tube that was then cooled and cut to length. The image of "Little Joe" the glassblower represents a generic glass artisan, not a specific person.
