Grafting Architecture. Catalonia at Venice Pavillon de la Catalogne évènement collatéral de la biennale d'architecture 2014

La Catalogne loue depuis quelques années un ancien hangar des chantiers navals de Venise (castello 40 / Fondamenta quitavalle) pour présenter son propre pavillon.

Le point de départ de cette exposition qui entend affirmer l'existence d'une architecture de tradition catalane est la Casa Bofarull (1913-1933) un des chantiers majeurs de l'architecte Josep Maria Jujol i Gilbert (1879-1949) où il a préservé le style régionaliste catalan dans l'esprit du modernisme de l'époque.
