Summary

Description
English: Kuru is a velociraptorine theropod from the Late Cretaceous of Central Asia. The species is named after Kurukullā, a Tibetan Buddhist deity associated with major life transitions. Kuru was around 2 m long, and 15 kg in body mass. Like other dromaeosaurs, Kuru was covered in feathers and had the characteristic enlarged sickle claw on the second toe of each foot. Its discovery demonstrated that closely related dinosaur species could coexist in the same region, and would tolerate each other despite competition.
