Summary

Description

One version of the heterosexual symbol (i.e. a Mars symbol and Venus symbol horizontally or diagonally offset, and usually interlinked, Unicode 4.1 character U26A4 ⚤). Instead of using the old "alchemical" colors (Venus=copper=patina=green and Mars=iron=rust=red), this graphic variation of the symbol uses the recent (early 20th century) commonly-used colors pink and blue as colors of the sexes, in order to serve as a replacement for Image:HeteroSym2.png . For a version with slightly darker shades of pink and blue, see Image:HeteroSym-pinkblue2.svg . For a pseudo-3D version, see File:Heterosexual-symbol-3D.svg .

For a different artistic rendering of this same symbol, see Image:Symbols-Venus-Mars-joined-together.png .

For this symbol in alchemical colors, see Image:HeteroSym.svg .

For versions of a "planetary" symbol of the sexes with slightly different symbolic meaning, see Image:Sexes-planetary-sym.svg , Image:Sexes-planetary-sym-dimcolors.svg , and Image:Sexes-planetary-sym-pinkblue.svg .
