Description
English: The first Fort Crawford was built by the U.S. Army at Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin in 1816. Its vestiges lie just north of the Villa Louis. The brown rectangles in mid-photo are the footings of the north wall. The blockhouse at upper right is a reconstruction.
