Summary

[edit]
Media data and Non-free use rationale
Description Sketch by M. C. Escher of a Moorish mosaic tessellation in the Alhambra, 1936. The sketch appears to be inverted with respect to the Alhambra tiling; Escher has marked a circled X at the top of the sketch, while its neighbour has a circled X at the bottom, so he may have turned the page for convenience while drawing.
