Description
English: Map of Bucharest in 1821, under Tudor Vladimirescu, with street location, waterways and wards (or "colors") based on 1842 map by Vladimir Blaremberg; showing quarters of Vladimirescu's Pandurs and Ypsilantis' Sacred Band, as identified in Nicolae Iorga, Izvoarele contemporane asupra mișcării lui Tudor Vladimirescu. Bucharest:Librăriile Cartea Românească & Pavel Suru, 1921. OCLC 28843327. Also shows the Orthodox monasteries, used by Vladimirescu as strong points, and Belvedere manor, where he held the Boyar Divan as hostages.
