Summary

Description
English: Bradgate House - 2, near to Newton Linford, Leicestershire, Great Britain.

Mainly built in the early 1500s of bricks, which were a new building material at that time. A close look reveals that the bricks used vary greatly in size, at a time before standardisation. They were probably manufactured near Cropston reservoir.

The Great Hall was at the centre of the House and an octagonal tower stood at each corner. With a household of two hundred people, this was once a very large building, including kitchens, chapel and bakery.
