Dear [redacted]

Thank you for contacting me regarding H.R. 4005 from the 107th Congress, which would extended the 50 State Quarters Program to include the District of Columbia and the U.S. territories. I appreciate the time you have taken to share your thoughts with me, and I am pleased to have this chance to respond to your concerns.

As you know, this legislation passed the House by a voice vote but was not considered in the Senate before the end of the 107th Congress. If this legislation is reintroduced in the 108th Congress, I will again give it my support. This program is important in teaching children about our country's history, culture, and diversity, Extending this program to include Washington, D.C. and the territories will only expand the ability of this program to educate.

Again, thank you for contacting me. If you would like to receive further information on issues of importance to you, please log on to www.schrock.house.gov/contact.asp. This web page provides you the opportunity to sign up for e-mail updates on issues of interest to you.

Sincerely,

[signed]

Ed Schrock
