Barry Hope is a former Division One college soccer player and a former member of the D3 Pro League team the Myrtle Beach Seadawgs.[1][2]

Early Life

Born in Manchester, England, Barry played football throughout his childhood. He played on teams in his youth with notable Manchester United player Ryan Giggs.[3]

American Soccer Career

After being recruited from England, Barry Hope played for the Coastal Carolina University's men's soccer team from 1992-1995 where he played in sixty seven games, and started in sixty five. After leaving Coastal Carolina, Barry played for the Myrtle Beach Seadawgs, a D3 Pro League, for one season in 1997.[4] He is recorded as having two assists for the Seadawgs.[5]

He has since moved to Illinois and married fellow former Coastal Carolina athlete Sandy Slepski Hope.[6][7]
